This was the oddest build I’ve ever undertaken. While jumping hotels I picked up the motherboard and cpu from different ebay vendors, had to test it so I end up booting plugged into a hotel flat screen with bare mobo on the desk. 

Ive spent more screen real-estate explaining this in other posts so i figured Id give the E5 v3 xeon system a post of its own I could link to if it comes up again

This time there really is one simple trick to improving wifi throughput and latency (what most call speed). No im not leading you on! ill get into the how in a moment. there are a few additional steps to further improve your wifi experience but first lets look at the factors that can make wifi suck in urban and suburban housing.

Did you manually configure your wifi ap when you set it up? tell the wizard:

PayPal Pay Here Unboxing

The other day I was looking around inside the PayPal business app  and notice the send me a reader link .  I have used this setup previous employment /shop but that model I know the owner paid for and I know it wasn’t the same because it had a physical keypad and an OLED screen. I was pretty surprised when it looked like they were going to send me a reader for free. The model I received appears to be the Moby – 3000. This PayPal pay here chip card and stripe reader is FCC ID2aby6-mob30aa. It arrived promptly and below is what was in the box. The setup was painless repaired immediately and the app told me I needed to do a firmware update which also went seamlessly I may later post pictures of that PayPal firmware update.

If you are just getting started with Opnsense or first time with a static block This post is for you! When trying to figure this out a lot of form posts said it couldn’t be done this way and to use 1:1 NAT; so maybe even those around the block a few times will benefit.

This post is a somewhat how-to for setting up a static block with routing on opnsense over pppoe with a modem in transparent bridge mode.(vdsl2 & centurylink) This Assumes you want to end up with a NATed DHCP Private LAN and a DHCP Public ipv4 routed LAN. Buckle in!
